With the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision overturning portions of the "Safer at Home" order, Fawn Creek Winery will be opening on a gradual basis out of respect for our customers, employees and the virus itself, knowing that until there is a vaccine or an effective treatment, the probability of a spike in cases is still very real. Please note, per the WEDC guidelines, we will be taking social distancing very seriously and plan to continue good sanitation practices and the use of personal protective equipment. While we want to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy the weather and our space, we ask that you would be understanding of these requirements. Check our Facebook page or here for further updates.
That said, until further notice, we will require social distancing on the premises and limit the number of guests within the winery itself - it is not a very large area to begin with! We have arranged tables throughout the property based upon social distancing guidelines. We ask that they remain where arranged to prevent encroachment upon other guests and disruption in our layout.
Our kitchen is open with limited offerings - including the Big Buck'n Pretzel! - but as always, you may bring in your own food. We just ask that all beverages be purchased on-site - no carry-ins.
Music has also returned to the Fawn Creek stage, however, the dance floor and steps to the stage will be closed to permit social distancing. Check our Music/Events page for the updated schedule (which is subject to change without notice.)
We ask visitors be vigilant in following CDC Prevention guidelines regarding symptoms and hygiene as are we as business owners. If you’re sick please stay home.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We greatly look forward to seeing you again! Again, we ask for your patience during this unprecedented time
A HUGE "THANK YOU" to those of you having utilized the curbside pickup, our new online store or even stopped in to shop briefly - with social distancing, of course! You've helped IMMENSELY to ease the impact the COVID-19 shutdown has had on business. We, like you, are greatly looking forward to getting back to some semblance of "normal."
First opening for business on April 15, 2011, Fawn Creek Winery is a family affair, currently owned by three siblings and their spouses: Sally and Dan Haberkorn, Dan and Diana Hanson, and Susan and John Marx.
This property was originally owned by Susan who lived in the house that still stands on the grounds. She had the initial passion and idea that came to fruition, Fawn Creek Winery.
We hope you make Fawn Creek Winery a part of your visit to the Wisconsin Dells area. Please feel free to approach us or our staff members with any questions, comments
or just to say, “Hi”!
Since 2011, our winery has expanded from one building into three separate buildings, three decks, and six tasting bars. Fawn Creek is a relaxing winery nestled in the forests of Dell Prairie. But on weekends our quiet neck-of-the-woods is transformed into the best music venue in Southwest Wisconsin! We have received the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) People’s Choice Live Music Venue award 3 out of 4 years; join us on a summer weekend to find out why! Feel free to wander our vineyard, the nine-hole disc golf course, down to the forgotten sugar shack, and play any of the yard games provided around the grounds.
Virtually all of Fawn Creek wines are made from grapes harvested in Lodi, California, but they are all fermented, created and bottled on-site. In addition to offering traditional semi-dry table reds and semi-sweet to sweet table whites, we have found a niche in fruit-flavored grape wines of a sweeter nature such as Granny's Gold, a Granny Smith-apple-flavored Riesling, and Razz Prairie, a raspberry-flavored Pinot Noir.
Fawn Creek Vineyard blossoms with Frontenac, Swenson White, and Prairie Star grapes. These varieties can be grown in a mid-western climate and short growing season unlike many well-known varietals. Although Mother Nature had different plans for the vineyard in recent years, previous harvests have been fruitful, and our award-winning 2018 Dell Prairie Rose is a perfect example of what these tart grapes can become.
Our wines are now available for online purchase through VinoShipper, a cloud-based sales platform that helps small- and medium-sized wineries sell direct and ship to most states, with some exceptions and limitations as rules and regulations for shipping wine vary by state. New states just added...including Illinois & Iowa!
Enjoy live music every Saturday now through April from 1 PM - 4 PM in our heated pavilion.
Our summer schedule is nearly complete for music on our WAMI award-winning stage on Saturdays and Sundays, May through September. New this year - Friday Fun! beginning in June. Click on the button below to check out the schedule.
Ask your local retailer to carry Fawn Creek wines if they don't already! Click on the link for a current list of retailers. They may even have our seasonal wines available for you year-round!
Soon, our facilities - pavilions and house - will be available to rent for your family, friends or business gatherings. More information will be forthcoming and available on our Rentals page.
